Mr. Michel Chammas

Michel Emile Chammas was born in Chekka, Lebanon. He came to the US in the early 1980 for his college education and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of NY at Buffalo in May 1984. After graduation, he moved to Houston, Texas and started his professional career in July 1984. Mr. Chammas gained permanent residency thru the sponsorship of his employer and then became a US citizen in 1993. All Mr. Chammas' professional work has been in the oil & amp; gas sector. Mr. Chammas started his own company in 2009 designing and manufacturing oilfield tools to cut stuck tubing downhole with headquarters in Houston, TX.

He has been married to Mirna Nehme since 1987 and has three children; Mark, Mathew and Maria. He has lived in Houston for the past 38 years. Mr. Chammas is very involved with the Lebanese community in Houston and throughout the United States. He served as the president of the American Lebanese Cultural Center for two consecutive terms 2016-2017 and was re-elected a president in 2022. Mr. Chammas is also a member of the board of trustees.

Mr. Chammas has been a member of the ATFL for the past 15 years.
