American Task Force for Lebanon Honors Geneticist Dr. Huda Zoghbi and Pulitzer Prize-Winner Sara Ganim at 17th Awards Gala

On Thursday, April 16, 2015, the American Task Force for Lebanon (ATFL) hosted its 17th gala awards night at the Fairmont Hotel in Washington. The event honored two outstanding Lebanese-Americans who have made significant contributions in their fields: renowned geneticist Dr. Huda Zoghbi and Pulitzer Prize-winning CNN correspondent Sara Ganim.
The event drew nearly 400 guests, including members of Congress and such dignitaries as General George Joulwan, former NATO Supreme Allied Commander, and Dr. Charles Elachi, Director of the US Jet Propulsion Laboratory. ATFL Chairman and former Secretary of Energy and United States Senator from Michigan Spencer Abraham, ATFL President and CEO and former US Ambassador to Morocco Edward M. Gabriel, Founding Chairman and former ATFL President Peter Tanous, and current Ambassador of Lebanon to the US Antoine Chedid offered remarks.
