For nearly three decades, the American Task Force for Lebanon has worked to provide a voice for the Lebanese-American community here in our nation’s capital, Washington, DC, and has spearheaded initiatives toward a secure, stable, free, democratic, and sovereign Lebanon. From working with Congress to lift the ban on the use of a US passport for travel to Lebanon, to purchasing 13 ambulances for the Lebanese Red Cross, to advocating for increased funding to destroy cluster bombs and landmines in South Lebanon, to pressing for more assistance to help Lebanon cope with the 1.2 million Syrian refugees it is now hosting, to seeking upgraded training and equipment for the Lebanese security services to confront ISIS and al-Qaeda on Lebanon’s eastern border, the ATFL has been critical to promoting and protecting the Lebanon to which we all aspire. Donations are used to cover our operational costs and programs so that we may continue our important work.
